MEET YOUR CANDIDATE
Roger Belknap is a small business owner and has over 20 years of public service experience, most recently working for the MI Department of Transportation as the Transportation Asset Management Council Program Coordinator.
He has a strong infrastructure planning and management background gained while working as the Public Works Director for both the City of Cedar Springs and the Village of Spring Lake.
Roger also worked for the Kent County Road Commission as a Transportation Planner, and was heavily involved with roadway information system management and local transportation and community development initiatives. Roger earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Public Administration and over the course of his career obtained licenses for municipal water supply operations and other vocational achievements.
Roger is a lifelong West Michigan resident, having grown up in Chester Township and currently residing in Grand Haven Township. Roger has been married to his wife, Denice, for over 20 years and together enjoy raising their two children. The Belknap Family attends Lakeshore Baptist Church in Grand Haven and is active in homeschooling and other various church programs and sports leagues.
Roger is grateful for the freedom and opportunity afforded to American citizens and is seeking involvement to preserve our heritage of religious, educational, health and economic freedoms for current and future generations.
